The Lady Raiders played host to the Lady Mountaineers while trying to pull the big time upset over No. 18 West Virginia. The Ladies were still looking for that first win in Big 12 play.

Early in the first, Diamond Lockhart, off the miss, crashed the offensive board to pull the Lady Raiders even at 4 a piece.

But then came West Virginia, also off a miss, it was Asya Bussie grabbing two of her 19 points to extend the lead to 13-6.

Then Taylor Palmer capped off a 10-0 run, to put West Virginia up 19-6.

However, the Lady Raiders would battle back, using the three-ball as Jasmine Caston got Tech back within five points.

Just before the half though, Brook Hampton knocked down a three of her own and the Lady Raiders trailed 34-23 at the half.

In the second half, the Lady Raiders hung in there thanks to, guess who? Amber Battle. She made a tough shot as she finished with 19 on the night.

Not going down without a fight, Texas Tech hung in there with West Virginia but the Lady 'Neers were just too strong. They won, 70-51.
