Local Team Headed to USSSA World Series

Baseball has always been strong here on the South Plains at every level, especially with the youngsters.

Last year the boys placed third in the tournament and after a years time Coach Charley Hicks said he's seen the progress both on and off the field.

They will also be raffling off a $750 to Cabela's.

s the Pirates will be headed to the USSSA 7-and-under World Series in Dallas on July 9. The team has played in more than five qualifying tournaments and have placed in each one of them to gain world series eligibility.
