Long time Muleshoe coach David Wood calls it a career

For twenty-three years Coach David Wood has been a staple on the sidelines for the Muleshoe Mules.  In 2018 someone new will be calling the shots as Coach Wood announces he is stepping down.  The long time Mules Coach announced he is retiring.  His wife will be retiring from teaching in May and they have plans to move to their family farm in Crowell.  Coach Wood had a record of 184 and 79 and led his team to the post season 19 of his 22 seasons as head coach.  In 2008, the Mules defeated Kirbyville 48-26 in the 2A Division One State Championship.
