The Monterey boys basketball team was honored before its game against Plainview for winning the Caprock Classic Tournament back in December.

To the game though, Kaden Brown knocked down a 15-footer to put Monterey on the board first, 2-0.

But Plainview fought back as Jaydon Ellis spotted up and knocked one down to cut into the deficit, Monterey on top 12-6.

More Plainsmen though, with a long 3-ball of its own by Russell Harrison to extend the lead to 15-6 Monterey.
The Bulldogs' Austin Deberry tried to make something happen but would get rejected by Harrison and that would turn into some good offense as the big man David McGinnis sinks a hook shoot for a 10-point lead at 19-9.

Monterey rolled on to win, 82-63.
