No. 22 Monterey tops No. 2 Frenship to take game and Series

 The Monterey Plainsmen came up big in the late innings for a 2-0 win against No. 2, Frenship, and took the series two games to one.

The first two games between these two, were not the cleanest of games with both sides taking advantage of the others errors to even the series at 1 heading into the rubber match on Saturday afternoon.

In the first Trevor Eulenbach was dealing for the Tigers, as he got Zach Sanders swinging to end the first.

In the bottom of the frame, Blake Walden got into some trouble with the bases loaded but quickly got out of it with the fly out to right to end the threat, there was no score after one.

In the 3rd, Eulenbach utilized his lethal pickoff move to catch Trevon Benton napping to get the Tigers are out of the inning.

But the Plainsmen used some clutch hits late to take the game and the series from the Tigers 2-0.
