The Texas Tech baseball team walked off for the 2nd night in a row the Red Raiders Walked off with a 3-2 win over West Virginia.
Texas Tech put Mountaineer runners on base all night long, but were able to limit the damage for most of the game until the 5th when Sadberry surrendered his first run of the game on a Ryan McBroom RBI, to make it 1-0 West Virginia. The ‘Eers would add another run in the 6th before Bryant Burleson cut the deficit in half with an absolute bomb to left-center, the solo shot made it 2-1. In the bottom of the 7th Adam Kirsch tied the game with a long ball of his own to tie the game at two.
In the bottom of the 9th Tim Proudfoot sent Tech fans home happy for the second night in a row with a basehit up the middle, to take the 3-2 victory. Tech goes for the series sweep tomorrow at 2pm from Rip Griffin Park.
