Monterey took down Cleburne, the 8th ranked team in the country, in game one on Thursday.

So, they'd go for the sweep today looking to keep their playoff run perfect.

In the top of the fifth, Garrett Buckner singled in Spencer suit, 5-1 Yellow Jackets.

In the same inning, Tyler Rekieta got out of the inning with the strikeout, 5-1 Monterey.

Bottom of the 7th, there were two outs for catcher Evan Gayler who ripped one to left to score Hunter Spaeth to make it 5-2.

Then after a Blake Walden walk, Travon Benton represented the tying run, but would flyout to center to end that game.

The Plainsmen sputter in game two, falling 5-2.

Game three slated for noon Saturday at Abilene Cooper.
