We had our first elimination game today between Texas and Louisville, in which the Longhorns defeated the Cardinals, 4-1. Tomorrow the Red Raiders will take their turn trying to stay alive against the Ole Miss Rebels.

However, after a light and spirited practice today the Red Raiders took some time to get away from baseball and took a visit to the Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha. They took time to visit with the kids, take some pictures and sign a few autographs.

To the game on the field tomorrow afternoon, the Red Raiders will take on another wounded team in the Rebels who lost in walk-off fashion last night 2-1.

The Rebels were a one-seed going through their own regional before knocking out a national seed in Louisiana-Lafayette in three games. You don't get to this level without good pitching, obviously the Red Raiders have it, and so do the Rebels. They will start Christian Trent who finished the season 8-0 and his last time out went seven shutout innings against Louisiana Laffayette.

Texas Tech will roll out freshman Ryan Moseley to the mound, Tuesday 2 p.m.
