The Red Raiders ended their 34 game losing streak to ranked opponents with a 82-72 win over the 12th Ranked Baylor Bears.
Jaye Crockett got things started for the Red Raiders with a beautiful give-and-go dunk with Dejan Kravic, and the Red Raiders would not look back.
The lead swelled to as much as 22 in the first half as Baylor struggled to keep the game close as Tech held a 21 point lead at the break.
In the 2nd half Baylor would make a run but they would only be able to get within nine during Garbage time as the Red Raiders got solid contributions across the board with all five starters scoring in double figures, led by Jaye Crockett with 19. Dejan Kravic turned in his best game of his Texas Tech career with 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Toddrick Gotcher came up with 17 big points for the Red Raiders. Tech is now 9-8 overall and 1-3 in Conference play and will be back in action against TCU, in Fort Worth on Saturday.
