Tony Romo will start for the Cowboys on Saturday in their preseason home opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.
Romo has been nursing his surgically repaired back throughout training camp, and sat out the preseason opener against the Chargers last Thursday, but he says he is ready to go and is excited to get on the field this Saturday.
“You know it's kind of like the question 'Is there more pressure this year, or is there blah, blah, blah?',” Romo said. “You're always excited. You know, first time you play, first game, first road game, your first blah, blah, blah.”
Having the game taken away from him at the end of the season last year and being unable to help his team in a do-or-die week 17 game, he appreciated just being able to get back on the field.
“Every game that you play, you're not guaranteed anything,” he said. “It's special just to play football it's special to play for the team that i get to play for, it's special to get out there and put the helmet on. to me, I don't take that for granted, and I know that it'[s a great feeling when you do get out there.”
The Cowboys and Ravens will Kick off at 6:00pm on Saturday from AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
