Texas Tech was without its top three scorers for much of the first half, and it cost them in an 80-62 loss on Wednesday night in the Big 12 Tournament.

Texas Tech started the game on an 8-0 run but Oklahoma State quickly erased that with an 8-0 run of their own, that eventually stretched into a 28-5 run, a run fueled by six Texas Tech turnovers. With just under nine minutes to play Tech lost their leading scorer and rebounder, Jaye Crockett, to a knee injury that kept him out for the remainder of the 1st half. Oklahoma State would take the 46 23 lead into the locker room.

Tech started the 2nd half, much like the first on a 7-0 run, Jaye Crockett returned to score 15 of his team high 20 points, and tech would outscore the Cowboys 39-34 but the hole was much to deep for Tubby Smith's team, as they would fall 80-62 and will now wait to find out if they will be playing in the post season.

Jaye Crockett and Dejan Kravic led the way for Texas Tech, Crockett scored 20 points and pulled in seven rebounds, while Dejan Kravic tied a season high with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Tolbert played limited minutes due to foul trouble but only had six points, while Robert Turner and Toddrick Gotcher combined for just five points.
