We begin our countdown in Norman Oklahoma where the 10th ranked and undefeated Red Raiders faced their toughest test of the year in the Oklahoma Sooners.

After a big win in Morgantown, Tech was riding high hoping Davis Webb could lead the team to a 2nd Consecutive Road win.

But it was a Kenny Williams pass that got things started for Texas Tech.

The Sooners came storming back though with three unanswered scores as a Damien Williams touchdown gave Oklahoma the 21-7 lead.

With their backs against the wall it was a former Oklahoma verbal commit that got the Red Raiders back in business.

A Ryan Bustin Field goal in the waning moments of the 3rd Quarter pulled Texas Tech within four, setting up the call of the year to that point.

The momentum, seemingly swung back to the Red Raiders with a Jakeem Grant Touchdown that gave Tech the 24-21 lead.

But a big play by Oklahoma’s LeColton Bester took momentum back at the end of the third.

After a couple of inopportune Turnovers the Sooners imposed their will on the Texas Tech defense, but Tech still had a chance to cut it to just two, on a two point conversion, but Jakeem Grant just missed Davis Webb’s pass as Oklahoma held their 35-30 lead, and the Sooners salted the game away on the ground.

Number five on the top five games of 2013, a 38-30 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners.
