Where Are They Now: Kenneth Wallace

Some people may spend a little more than their mandatory time in and around school.  Not Estacado Matador football great Kenneth Wallace.  After leading the Mats to the 1968 3A State Championship as their quarterback, Wallace was  four year letterman at Texas Tech becoming the first African American football player to graduate from Texas Tech in 1974.  

Wallace would get both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees going on to coach football at Dunbar High School and Coronado High School.  He would follow this up by returning to his alma mater becoming the principal of Estacado for thirteen years.  After which he took his family south the Houston area and Galina Park ISD where Wallace served in various capacities from Principal to his current position as Deputy Superintendent.  

Wallace recognizes his experiences in all his different capacities have helped to mold him into the successful person he is today.
