The Cowboys were off today as they made the short trip from Oxnard to San Diego to gear up for their first scrimmage of the year against the Chargers.

After banging up on each other the past several days it will be a nice break to get some reps against another team. That being said, we will likely not see the starters very much in this first matchup.

We already knew Tony Romo had been ruled out completely for tomorrow but after a few series’ you can expect the rest of the starters to join him on the sidelines.

"Probably anticipate seeing the one's play a little bit,” said Jason Garrett, head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. “The two's play little more. It's a great opportunity in week one to see the three's playing this kind of an atmosphere.”

“Then typically what you do in the next week is play the one's a little bit more. In the third week they play a lot more then in the fourth week you give the younger guys a chance again. So, that's just kind of a general comment about that. We want to see our guys play as much as we can. We also want to be mindful of where we are in this whole preseason process."

"I think any time you can go play and get those live looks at it, I think we're better as players for that to get us prepared," said Jason Witten, cowboys tight end.
