Healthy J.J. Gaines Returns for Junior Season

LUBBOCK, TX - As Red Raider Nation continues to take a deeper look into the  Red Raiders' roster for the 2014 season. J.J. Gaines is next on our list.

Last season J.J. Gaines played in five games with 16 tackles and made two interceptions before suffering a season-ending injury during the Iowa state game.

"That played a big part for us because J.J. Gaines was a factor," said Pete Robertson. "Those games like the shutout we had against TCU and those other team it was awesome because J.J. is a heck of a player."

However, J.J. Gaines is back and ready to go. The Red Raider Nation believes he will lead the core group of safeties to one of the top performing groups in the nation.
