Lady Raiders Tied For 14th in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. — The Texas Tech women’s golf ended day one of the Hurricane Invitational in a tie for 14th after shooting a team score of 20-over par 304 on Monday at Biltmore Golf Course.

Tech is tied with Daytona State College and is ahead of Longwood, Miami (B), and James Madison. No. 30 Miami leads at even par after the first round.

Senior Hannah Arnold led Tech with a 3-over 74 after two birdies and 12 pars. Junior Stephanie Bertelsen fired a 75 and sophomore Kimmy Hill, who led Tech in its last tournament, is 5 over after a 76 in her first round.

Junior Elin Arvidsson rounded out the counting scores with a 79 and Victoria Uresti finished her first round with an 83.

Tech will play the second round of the tournament Tuesday beginning at 8:10 a.m. EST (7:10 a.m. CST) with all five players teeing off on No. 10.
