Former Red Raider receiver Wes Welker has been suspended 4 games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

He tested positive for the party drug MDMA, better know as molly which is made with amphetamines that are flagged by the NFL.The Broncos are scheduled to have a week 4 bye, meaning Welker won't return until week 6 at the earliest. He did appealed the suspension and lost.  So it will start immediately and is expected to end before the Broncos visit New England in week 9. This is Welker's first offense of his 12 years in the league. So a slap on the wrist and a nice pay cut for the 2014 season is approaching.
