LUBBOCK, TX - Sunday afternoon Texas Tech head football coach Kliff Kingsbury announced that sophomore running back Da'Leon Ward is back with the football team.
However Ward has to climb his way out of the dog house to even sniff the field at this point.
"We'll get him back tomorrow on the first day of school and just sort of go from there," Kingsbury said. "We'll see where he's at, and how he handles his business, but we'll really take it week-to-week."
This coming Saturday when the season starts, Ward will be the team's no. 5 running back.
Kingsbury said senior running back Justin Stockton will be the starter, followed by Desmond Nisby, Demarcus Felton and Tre King.
