For the 2nd time in three weeks we had some Monday Night Football involving our area High School Teams in the State Playoffs. This time its for the Regional Championship, and for the Cooper Pirates they would have to get through the juggernaut known as the Stephenville Yellow Jackets.

Cooper was taking on the defending State Champs down in Abilene.

Stephenville started fast Kaegen Williams gets the handoff and he busts up the sideline for about a 75 yard touchdown, as the Jackets struck first, 7-0.

But Cooper would get their offense going too, Stanton Keane found Evan McHugh over the middle, he got the ball down to about the one yard line.

The Pirates would cash in, in the form of a Keane Quarterback Keeper to tie the game at 7.

Then The Cooper Defense showed up knocking a ball loose and they would recover, and take advantage, as Jordan Salas made a great play after looking like he was down but he was not as he would not stop until he found the end zone as the Pirates took the 14-7 lead.

Back came the Jackets though, Jarrett Stidham takes this one in from 2 yards out to tie it up at 14.

The defending State Champions would prove to be too tough for the Pirates this evening as they took the 42-28 Victory.
