Every Friday night for the next 13- weeks we will be bringing you the best highlights from games around the South Plains. There is plenty of change around high school football. In 2014, there are new districts, new 6-A classifications and some new coaches on the South Plains.

The Estacado Matadors tried to build on their outstanding post-season run a year ago. The first play from in the match David smith got the handoff and you can forget about this one. The Mats started the season with a bang and the Matadors took a 6-0 lead.

Next offensive possession for the Mats they would get into some trouble on the hand off and Hereford would recover. But on the very next play Deante Willard gave the ball right back to the Matador offense.

And they know exactly what to do with it as Jaleen Tennison found Kenaris Jackson for the touchdown and the Mat’s led 21-7.

Estacado comes back in a thrilling back-and-forth battle to win 37-36.
