Welcome into another edition of the Test Texas Chevy Dealers Friday Night Blitz. Well, we've reached week eight of the high school football season and its that time of year where teams are jockeying for playoff positioning, while some are just trying to keep those playoff hopes alive. We have plenty of that for you tonight and we start with a couple of 4-4A teams with 1-1 district records.

Monterey hosting coach Rhoads, a former plainsmen assistant coach, and his Plainview Bulldogs.

Opening kick off here and (19) For Monterey fumbles the ball. And Plainview starting strong as they recover and take over at Monterey's 20...

And cashing in here... As Paxstyn Oldfield finds Demond Vera in the end zone and the bulldogs first on the board. 7-0..

But Monterey marching down to the one yard line... And Camden Arnold with the keeper. He gets in no problem and the games tied at 7.

Now Plainview ball but right here it comes loose... The plainsmen recover and we're going the other way...

This time Arnold going through the air... Finding an open and they take a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter
