We start with the 2-0 Coronado Mustangs, who opened District 2-5A play against the Central Bobcats tonight.

The Mustangs beat cross town rivals convincingly in the first two weeks.

First quarter though, 7-0, Central. Mickey Scott found Nick Barron over the middle and he found his way into the endzone. The high powered Bobcat attack went up 14-0.

But Coronado needed an answer, so they snapped it directly to Robert Lee who took it around the corner and he was finally dragged down short of the end zone.

Then on 4th down, Mustangs tried to kick the field goal, and that didn't go well; bobbled snap landed in the hands of the Bobcats as the Mustangs came up empty.

More Scott as he ran along the sidelines and refused to go down.

And that eventually led to a Braden Hick 1-yard touchdown run, and it was 21-0 Central after one quarter.
Tonight was a rough one for the Mustangs as they fell by a final of 35-7.
