Smyer Tops Hale Center 35-28

The Owls and Bobcats squared off tonight in Smyer for both school season opening game.

Early in the first quarter, Smyer's number 14 Marcos Diaz had a 15 yard run to keep the drive moving.

Later in the drive Smyer quarterback #8 Ty Lazano, found Tight End #7, Brennen Fowler, in the back of the end zone for six points. The extra point was blocked and returned for 2 points, giving Smyer the 6-2 advantage.

Ensuing Smyer possession Running Back #14 Marcos Diaz called his own number and extend the Bobcats lead to 13-2.

Smyer would go on to win 35-28.
