The UW Office of Sustainability and Sustain Dane, a local nonprofit, have a volunteer and professional development opportunity for students to participate in Badger Bioneers, on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at Union South. Badger Bioneers is a major regional sustainability and social innovation conference, that explores emerging ideas and strategies for today’s most pressing environmental and social changes.

This year, students have the opportunity to take part in the conference as student facilitators. As a student facilitator, you will guide a small group table of six to eight participants in exercises and discussions.

If selected, you will receive a two-hour training from UW facilitation expert, Darin Harris. Other duties at the conference include real-time report outs from your group discussions and helping with logistics as needed.
