A Local Gun Store Busts a Man Trying to Sell 9 Stolen Guns

Legacy guns says a man tried to sell 9 stolen guns to them Saturday, October 26th.
Lubbock police bust a man, trying to sell nine stolen guns.

And in the process, uncover drugs -- and a stolen truck.

We have the xclusive surveillance video, from when police say 26-year-old Jack Lawson tried to sell those stolen guns to a local store.

Legacy guns says they'd gotten a heads-up from another place in town that Lawson might head their way.

Officers arrived on scene, and found the truck Lawson was driving, was also stolen and he was also in possession of drugs.

The manager at Legacy Guns tells us calling the police was the right thing to do.

"I could tell he had a medical issue or a drug issue going on... so it was a very very dangerous feeling for us," says manager Ricky Jones. "We didn't know if he was armed at the time and with those guns we didnt know how many of them were loaded or what else was out in the truck. It was a very scary situation."

Lubbock police say Lawson will be facing several charges.
