Alison Morris is a true, blue Lubbock native. She grew up out in the beautiful, little community of Ransom Canyon, climbing the hill sides, and searching for caves. Her first ambition in life was to be an explorer.
Alison attended Roosevelt elementary, junior high, and high school, and was very involved. She ran cross country, played tennis, basketball, was captain of the cheerleading squad, and starred in many one act plays. To this day, she still loves theatre and acting.
As a proud third generation Red Raider, Alison chose to attend Texas Tech University, majoring in Electronic Media and Communication. Meanwhile, on the side, she started working at KAMC and KLBK at the age of 18. She started out as a camera operator, but within a few months moved up to the position of producer. All throughout college, Alison learned at school and on the job. She graduated Cum Laude in May 2013.
Now Alison is a general assignments reporter, and enjoys writing and producing all kinds of stories, especially the ones that involve Texas Tech.
In her free time, Alison enjoys running, reading, watching movies, visiting her hometown, and spending time with her family. Her hero is her mom, former Lubbock news anchor, Karla Leslie, and she hopes to become an anchor one day as well.
