Junior tight end collects another national honor

Junior tight end Jace Amaro has earned the 2013 CFPA Tight End Trophy, as announced by College Football Performance Awards.

In addition to the annual honor, CFPA also recognized Amaro for the top single season tight end performance since the organization's inception.

During the 2013 regular season, Amaro contributed 1,240 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 98 receptions. With 14 receptions and 90 receiving yards against Arizona State on Dec. 30., Amaro would become the NCAA's all-time single season tight end record holder for receptions and receiving yards.

Previously, Amaro was named first team Big 12, USA Today First Team All-America, and Walter Camp First Team All-America.
