Black Friday Comes Early On Thanksgiving

Stores aren't holding back anymore, opening late Thanksgiving day and staying open through Black Friday giving great deals for holiday shopping.

LUBBOCK, TX--- Black friday shopping is coming just a little earlier this year. 

Several stores all around Lubbock saying they are opening their doors on Thanksgiving for Black Friday shoppers. 

Even the South Plains Mall joining in with their midnight madness. 


"Its just each store has a different attack plan I guess. For making it exciting for the costumer so that our guest not only get a really good deal but have a realy good time." said Ashley Knox with the South Plains Mall.  

Knox says the best way to shop will be to plan ahead. 

"I think the best thing you can do for Black Friday to be successful is have a plan.... 
We're excited about Black Friday we think we have a lot of stores that are doing really good promotions and people have fun with this you know... Its an event." 

Dollar General- 7am-7pm
Kmart- 6am-5pm

Best Buy- 6pm
JC Penney- 8pm
Sears- 8pm
Officemax-  8pm
Kohls- 8pm
Target 8p
Walmart- 24 hours deals start 6pm

Let's say the turkey got burned or you just don't feel like cooking. 
Several restaurants will be open tomorrow. 

Pecan Grill at the Overton 9am
Golden coral 7am-8pm
Stella's 930am-330pm
Cracker Barrel- 6pm-10pm 

And something many of us can be thankful for... 
The Cowboys and our Red Raiders are playing tomorrow afternoon. 
We called around, several sports bars across lubbock will be open with the games on. 

Buffalo Wild Wings- 2pm 
Nick's Sports Bar- 3pm 
BarPM- 3pm

Of course these are just a few of the places that will be open tomorrow to eat and shop.
