Carol of Lights Brightens the Night at Texas Tech

The Carol of Lights has caroling, a processional from the Saddletramps and the Masked Rider and 25,000 Christmas Lights

The 55th Annual Carol of Lights will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013. The Ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Carillon Concert. At 7:00 p.m., the Masked Rider and Horse, Saddle Tramps Torch Light Processional and High Riders will begin at the University Seal at the Broadway Entrance and follow the Luminaria Lighted Route around Memorial Circle to the Science Quadrangle.

The Tech Trombone Choir, under the direction of Jim Decker, will accompany the Texas Tech University Combined Choirs, led by Andrew Kreckmann.

The University Police Department will close off vehicle access to Memorial Circle and the Broadway Entrance for the ceremony Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. The parking area in the Quadrangle will be cleared by 5:30 p.m., Monday, December 2nd, 2013 to prepare staging and sound equipment.

The lights will be turned on every night from dusk until midnight from December 4th, 2013 through January 1st, 2014.
