Alternative Physical Therapy Offered in Plainview

Joe Switzenberg is offering Strain Counter-Strain physical therapy as an alternative to traditional methods

Joe Switzenberg has been a physical therapist for 23 years using traditional forms of physical therapy until the late 90's when he found out about the strain-counter strain method and says it's more effective.

"Most of the time it's hot pack, electrical stimulation, ultrasound massage, sometimes they do some massage and stuff but this is pretty specialized."

During the Strain, Counter-Strain method Switzenberg says he uses his hands to find the problem areas.

"The last five years it's become advanced. We glide the tissue, nerve sensors, turn off the connective tissue and the pain goes away instantly and permanently."

Switzenberg says the strain counterstrain method can be used to treat many different types of pain.

"There's people that see me after surgery, there's people that come after they have a car wreck, there's people that just have chronic pain, everything from head to toe."

And because they Strain, Counter-Strain method usually fixes the problem in less visits, Switzenberg says you can also save yourself some money.

"Cheaper because it's less visits most of the time....Most of the people that walk in here they get effects the first treatment and they feel better just walking out the door."
