LUBBOCK, TX--- Several people who live at the Boulders at Lakeridge apartments on 82nd and Quaker, have said they've had several issues when dealing with management.
But their main concern is how the water is being shut off frequently with no notice to when or how long even the water will be gone.
"Its a complete nuisance, I mean I've been in trouble at work for it because I've been late, and like I said I was in the middle of the shower one time and it got cut off."
Carrie (not her real name) has lived at the Boulders at Lakeridge apartments for the last two years with little problems.
But her water has been shut off at least once a week for the last few months, recently for two days and with no alert from management.
"Dont know how long its going to be off, we don't know why its off and its just really inconvinient... Being without water really puts it into perspective how much we do rely on water in an everyday setting," Carrie tells us.
Water is included in the rent and while she understands maintenance is neccessary, she says she and other tenants feel like apartment managers should notify when work is being done.
"I mean I know its not that hard to find a way whether its a text message a quick email, just to let the residents know that they're going to be without water for a little bit."
She says she and others have asked for notice, but was met with little cooperation.
"Its not like we haven't asked for notice before from the office, it just seems like they're not making an effort to give us notice about it either."
We spoke on the phone with management at the Boulders at Lakeridge.
They tell us they do not have the capability to notify over 400 tenants everytime there's an emergency and work is being done to the water with a text message service or mass email.
They said they've had frequent issues with the freezing weather and pipes bursting.
But did not want to give details as to why this is becoming such a problem and not notifying tenants.
