Lubbock--The Baylor Bears Come into the 2014 as the defending Big 12 Champions for the first time in their history, and are hungry for more in 2014.

Art Briles arrived at Baylor in 2008, 6 years later he has done the unthinkable, turning the Bears from the perennial Big 12 chump into Big 12 Champs.

The #1 team in total offense rummaged through the season winning 11 games and stomping big 12 competition by an average of 28 points. The Red Raiders being one of those victims, dropping a 63-34 decision at at&t stadium in Arlington.

The team's only losses comprised of an upset by the Oklahoma state cowboys, who gave the bears their only conference loss 49-17 in Stillwater.

And finishing the season on a low note… falling to then 15th ranked central florida in a record-setting fiesta bowl, 52-42.

Despite the season finale defeat they've still got plenty of momentum headed into 20-14.  For starters, they'll be playing in the program's brand new $250 Million Stadium set to hold it's first game in late August.

The bears strength is a no brainer, Offense .. Bryce Petty returns with a talented supporting cast including antwan goodley and levi norwood, to help pick apart any defense in the Big 12, much like they did in 2013. The O-line may be a little scarce with only two familiar faces set to return, one of those at the tight end position.

While its offense made headlines last season, the team's defense was a big part of their success as well. Losing first-team all American, Ahmad Dixon, they'll be led by veteran linebacker Bryce Hager, however with an entirely new secondary they could struggle early.

The Red Raiders won't get the Mclane Stadium experience as they continue with the series in Arlington on Nov. 29 at AT&T stadium.
