Behind Enemy Lines: Kansas Jayhawks

For the 5th time in the Last five years the Kansas Jayhawks found themselves at the bottom of the Big 12 conference, but for the first time in three seasons they were able to win a conference game.

The Jayhawks bring back six starters on Offense after Jake Heaps transferred out of the program the offense will be led by Montell Cozart who won the job during spring practice.

The Sophomore Cozart will have a new voice in his ear as Charlie Weis has brought in a new offensive coordinator in, John Regan. He has plenty of room to grow with this new offense talking over the 117th ranked unit in the country.

The Defensive side of the ball looks to be this teams’ strength returning nine starters from a year ago looking to improve the 96th ranked defense in college football.

The Jayhawks will visit Jones AT&T Stadium on October 18th a place where they pushed Tech to double overtime in 2012, before dismantling them under coach Kingsbury 54-16 last year in Lawrence.

I think the Jayhawks are more competitive this season and will push some teams but will ultimately find themselves at the bottom of the conference for a 6th season in a row.
