The Oklahoma State Cowboys suffered two bitter defeats at the end of the 2013 season and will look to shake those off in 2014.

The Cowboys Return this year having to replace 7 starters on the offensive side of the ball including quarterback Clint Chelf, but with JW Walsh throwing over 40 percent of Oklahoma State’s passes a year ago it shouldn’t be too big of an adjustment, and he will be able to turn around and hand it to the teams leading rusher from a year ago, Desmond Roland who will be back as well.

On the defensive side of the ball the pokes will have to replace eight of their nine top tacklers from a year ago including a first round pick on the outside, Justin Gilbert.

After Opening the season against the Defending national champions in Jerry world the Pokes don’t have a road game until the middle of October, including a Thursday night date with the Red Raiders on September 25th. The Cowboys have dominated the series as of late winning five in a row and Texas Tech is winless in Stillwater since 2001 when Kliff Kingsbury was the quarterback.

The Cowboys will be tough again next season and look for them to be battling for a spot in the top half of the conference come seasons end.
