Board of Regents Approve Tuition and Fees Increase At Texas Tech and St. Angelo State

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents Tuesday afternoon approved a 3.95% increase in tuition and fees at Texas Tech, and a 1.99% for Angelo State University during a teleconference.
LUBBOCK, TX -- The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents Tuesday afternoon approved a 3.95% increase in tuition and fees at Texas Tech, and a 1.99% increase for Angelo State University during a teleconference.

Currently the yearly cost of tuition and fees, for a student taking 15 hours a semester, is around $9,482 for Texas Tech University and $7,493 for St. Anegelo State University according to the universities' websites.

This would mean a $375 increase for Texas Tech and a $149 for St. Angelo State for the 2014-2015 school year.

The increase of tuition and fees was described as "minimal" by the TTU System twitter account.
