Communities in Schools

Monica J. Williams, Director of Marketing and Development for Communities In Schools of the South Plains, talks about CIS-SP dropout prevention initiatives and the importance of partnering with CIS in this work of supporting and empowering at-risk and disengaged students to stay in school and to achieve in life.

One of the ways to support the work of CIS-SP is by sponsoring CIS-SP events/revenue generating activities.  Volunteering at a school site.  Making a monthly or annual contribution to CIS-SP.

The 2nd Annual Communities In Schools of the South Plains Crimson Gala:  Crimson Gala – will be held on Friday, February 28th, at 7:00pm at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center.  An auction preceding the main event will start at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $50, Tables are $400.  Contact the CIS-SP office at 806-368-8090 for additional levels of sponsorship.  

The 6th Annual Peace.Love.Mud Volleyball Tournament:  Will be held on Saturday, June 14th at Buffalo Springs Lake.  Mud Volleyball is the premier event of its kind in this area.  This is an all day tournament!  Participates have fun in the sun for a great cause-dropout prevention.  Last year CIS Mud Volleyball hosted 96 teams, and this year the goal is to have 120 teams!  Early registration will open March 14th
