The Lubbock Cooper Pirates won two in a row after dropping their opener by an all-to familiar one point; and tonight, they looked to avenge a loss from a year ago as they welcomed in Perryton.
Out at Woodrow in the first quarter, it was Perryton ball, but Cooper's Kriby Vinson got the pick-6 as Cooper took the early 7-0 lead.

Perryton took over after a Cooper fumble and Justin Ventura found Ragan Watson. He did the rest and it was all tied at 7.

Later, Rangers again, but looked at this catch by Watson, who made the grab off the back of John Lange and it was ruled a touchdown; 14-7, Perryton.

Second quarter, Stanton Keane found Jordan Salas over the middle and he got enough for the score. Extra point is no good so it stood at 14-13, Perryton.
Cooper ended up with the 36-34 win.
