Lubbock fire crews spent nearly two hours getting a fire at a home in South Lubbock under control.

A man was found dead inside the home located at the 8600 block of Jordan Drive.

The medical examiner in this case tells us that because the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Lubbock Fire Marshall's Office, the identity of that person is not going to be released at this time.

Fire officials say that no one else was home at the time.
