The Thanksgiving holiday is always jam packed full of football and a few of our area teams are giving their fans a head start. Denver City had to wait since Friday to get their game in against the Bangs Dragons on Tuesday night, having to go all the way down to San Angelo to do so.

In the 2nd quarter Bangs’ Andrew Quintana was able to get pressure, and force Denver City’s qb Mason Milligan to throw interception to Bangs’ Jake Gravell.

On the final play of half, Denver City’s Cole Mcleroy got a field goal block to take some momentum into the locker-room

In the 3rd quarter Bangs quarterback JT Newton found Jake Gravell again who picked up 49 yards. Then Newton would take care of the rest running it from nine yards out to make it 21-6 Dragons.

Denver City would not give up though as Milligan took it 47 yards, down to the three yardline, and then finishes the drive with a touchdown to make it 21-12.

But in the End Bangs was able to hold off the Mustangs by a final of 27-25.
