BROWNFIELD,TX- Do you love all things red, white and pinot?

Then Terry County is the place to be this weekend for the Taste of Terry County Wine Festival.

Terry County has been nicknamed the 'Napa Valley' of Texas, because it is home to more than 30 wineries and the grape farmers there produce more than 80% of grapes used in Texas wines.

"If you are buying a Texas bottle of wine," Buzz Timmons, with the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce said. "There is an extremely large chance that most of the grapes that went into making that wine came from Terry County."

The all day event will give visitors and tour inside some of those wineries, a chance to crush grapes with their own feet, and of course, lots of wine tasting.

The Vineyard Expo is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall, at 800 Seagraves Highway.

Winery tours start at 8:30 a.m. and the cost is $15 for Adults and $5 for Kids.

There is a food and wine event Saturday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Senior Center at 1201 Tahoka Highway.

The cost is $35 a person, with entertainment by the "Local Nobody's."

"$35 gets you in the door," Timmons said. "It'll get you six samples of whatever wine you want. We're going to have six wineries there and then the food; Just go around and eat as much food as you want to eat."

Finally, there will be a Regional Charity Auction Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.
