East Lubbock Business Robbed Late Monday Night

An east Lubbock business was robbed late Monday night and police are looking for the people responsible.

LUBBOCK, TX -- An East Lubbock business was robbed late Monday night and police are looking for the people responsible.  The call came in just after 11:00 p.m. to a business in the 300 block of East 40th Street.

According to police, two suspects were armed with guns and wearing masks.  They are described as being around 17 or 18-years-old, about five feet, eight inches tall, with a thin, muscular build.

Police said the two got away with the victim's wallet.

Lubbock police issued the following statement Tuesday morning:

On July 21, 2014 at 11:00 pm two suspects walked into 327 E 40th Street and pointed a handgun at the owner who was working in his shop. The suspects were screaming profanity and demanding the victim’s property while violently frisking him. As the two suspects fled the shop after taking his property they fired shots in the direction of the victim. The suspects were described as two black males in their late teens 5’8” to 5’9” 150 to 165 lbs wearing masks, gloves, and long sleeve shirts. The suspects were not located and are still outstanding, anyone with information is asked to call Crime‐Line at 741‐1000.
