Evan has worked in newsrooms in four states, bringing years of experience as an anchor, producer and reporter. His news philosophy is simple--deliver honest and timely news in the most relevant, interesting and entertaining ways possible.
Early risers could catch Evan's newscasts in the morning and at noon for more than five years at KLBK. He moved to the evening newscasts in September of 2009. Evan says he never imagined Lubbock would be his longtime home, but says when the time came he could never bring himself to leave! And today, he's a proud resident of Lubbock.
In addition to his work on the anchor desk, Evan also likes to get into the field. He was live in Midland for President George W. Bush's Texas homecoming, and was also there to report on the President's and Gen. Colin Powell's trips to Lubbock. Evan also brought us his award-winning feature series "What's Your Story?", and more recently, "What's Cookin'?," a fun look into small, locally-owned and little-known restaurants we all should try. You can catch his stories each Thursday night at 10pm.
Evan's found much to love here in West Texas, from the people to the arts and the activities. When he's not at work, you can find him being dragged behind his adopted beast-dog Bear, at the movies, cooking at home, watching the big game at a Hub City sports bar, or playing soccer.
Evan's family lives in Colorado and Beijing, China. He majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Philosophy at the University of Missouri-Columbia. If you have a story idea, random question or funny story click here to email Evan.
