LUBBOCK, TX---  Every year one Lubbock family hosts a yard sale to raise money that they then donate in the memory of their son, who died after being born premature. But this year's sale almost did not happen after their trailer of donated items was stolen.

"In 2006 we had a son. His name was Kole and we lost him after only 12 hours. He was born at 28 weeks," said Rosanne Walker.
"It just became a mission every year to do a family team to keep Kole's memory alive."

The Walker family donates all the money they raise to the March of Dimes. Normally, their garage sale raises about $2000.
They spent months collecting items to sell, that they stored in a trailer. But Thursday night, that trailer was stolen.
They now fear they won't raise that money this year.

Despite everything the Walker family has been through. They're not giving up their hope and mission to help the March of Dimes.

"You can't be down, I mean you still have to go on. We still need to have the sale," said Walker.

They pulled what donated items were still stored in their garage and went on with the garage sale Friday.

"We've been reaching out for more donations on Facebook and social media, asking anyone if they want to get rid of anything to bring it by. We would glady sell it and cart it off for them," she said.

Walker says she's praying for whoever took their trailer full of donated items. She hopes even if its never found; the community will come together and make up for what was lost to support the March of Dimes.

"That's really what we want to do we just want to give them the money to do research and to help babies," Walker said.

Rosanne Walker and her family will be back out tomorrow on the 3300 block of 55th street, selling and raising money for March of Dimes if you want to help support.
