LUBBOCK, TX --- One Lubbock family is speaking out about the importance of car insurance as they continue to search for justice of the death of 18 year old Jolan Hunter who was killed in a car accident on June 6, 2013.

"Someone was neglegent in this whole situation that's how everything- that's how this whole accident happened," said Stephanie Hunter, Jolan Hunter's mother.  "He can never be replaced. Ever."

Almost two months after Jolan Hunter was killed while assisting an accident -- his family still waits for answers.

They say in addition to neglegence, the person who hit and killed Hunter had no car insurance and is still not being held accountable for what took place. In addition to losing her son, Stephanie Hunter has had to spend her families money for all expenses since his death.

"He didnt have any insurance at all," said Jozef Springer. "Its all on us right now. On top of all of the other unfortunate expenses that we've had to endure during this tragic time."

The family is now speaking out urging all drivers to get insured and pay closer attention to the roads ahead.

"You have to be held accountable. And we believe the city of lubbock has a responsibility to hold this person accountable," said Springer.

"They're going with their normal lives as if nothing has ever happened. And that's what bothers me as a parent as a mother," said Stephanie Hunter. "At this point we. We want justice."

No one was ever arrested in the crash, Hunter's family said they're still waiting on his case to go to grand jury.
