LUBBOCK,TX-  The Frenship High School choir is getting the opportunity of a lifetime. The Tigers were asked to join Foreigner on stage Monday night during their concert at the City Bank Auditorium.

"I'm so excited, I am so pumped," Senior soprano Katrina Wilson said. "It is going to be awesome."

"Yes, yes we are ready," Junior Hagen Hobbs said. "We are super excited and ready to blow everyone's socks off."

Last week the band reached out to Choir Director, Billie Billet, along with one other school in Lubbock; ultimatley the Tigers were the ones who were given the chance.

"I was actually in a meeting in another part of the school and the secretary sends a memo that said I have an emergency, it is a nice emergency, but get down here quick," Billet said.

Many of the kids said they know Foreigners' songs, they just that they didn't know who sang them.

"I never heard the name Foreigner until I heard all their music and then I was like, 'Oh I know every single song that they've ever played," Hagen said.

"The interesting thing about them is, when I started playing songs they started singing along with them," Billet said. "So they know the songs, they just didn't know the titles maybe."

The kids will be singing "I Want to Know What Love Is." They will also be selling Foreigner CD's before and after the concert for $20. All the proceeds will go to the Grammy 'Save the Music' Foundation. People who purchase the CD will also be entered into a raffle to win a Les Paul guitar.
