A written statement described Health’s criminal activity as “the takeover style robberies of two banks in May 2013.” Namely, those banks were Lubbock National Bank, 4420 19th Street, and FirstBank Southwest Bank, 5701 SW 34th Street in Amarillo.
“Heath, wearing a mask and gloves and carrying a firearm, entered the [LNB] bank and pointed the gun at tellers, yelling at them to give him money,” a written statement from prosecutors said. “Heath jumped over a counter, opened a teller drawer and began stuffing money in his pockets. He then ran from the bank to a waiting vehicle driven by Tenorio.”
Tenorio is already serving a sentence of more than 11 years.
Heath’s sentence will actually be longer than 24 and-a-half years because robbery was a violation of supervised release on a previous federal conviction. So he’ll have to serve an additional two years.
