LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a house fire last Sunday morning in the 1900 block of 26th Street. No injuries were reported; however, the house is a total loss.

LFR said, “Crews arrived to find the residence ‘fully involved’ with heavy fire conditions.”

“Crews kept the fire from spreading to nearby residences and brought it under control in approximately 30 minutes,” LFR said.

LFR said the Codes Section of the Lubbock Police Department had previously tagged the home as “illegal to occupy.” The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
