LUBBOCK, TX -- If you're planning to buy tickets for the upcoming Paul McCartney concert, there are plenty of ways to do it.

"We will have the internet at www.selectaseatlubbock.com. We will have a charge by phone number that's 806-770-2000. We will have a few of our outlets available as well. Ralph's Records and Tapes, Dollar Western Wear, the student union at Texas Tech and then here at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center," said Box Officer Manager Lisa Thomason.

Ticket sales start Friday at 10 am online and in person. Since Monday, fans have been going to the Civic Center to pick up wristbands. These wristbands are only for use at the Civic Center box office location where there will be a lottery Friday.

"Does the wristband guarantee me a ticket? The wristband does not guarantee a ticket, it only helps you get a place in line," said Thomason. "We put the stub portion of that wristband in a bucket and will draw for the first in line then we will line everyone up sequentially after that. So no one needs to spend the night or come in the wee hours of the morning to try to get a good place in line."

The seating capacity for this concert is about 11,500. An undisclosed amount of tickets have already been sold to fan club members, American Express card holders, and season ticket holders at the United Spirit Arena. The arena's Associate Director Cindy Harper strongly suggests buying your tickets through Select-A-Seat Lubbock, the arena's official ticket provider.

“I know some folks plug in United Spirit Arena and Paul McCartney and other sites might pop up but we really advise buyer beware,” said Harper. “If you do purchase from another site online you always run the risk of paying higher than the face value of the ticket as well as run the risk of purchasing a counterfeit ticket.”
