MIDLAND COUNTY, TX -- An Interstate 20 resurfacing project is set to get underway after the Labor Day holiday, according to Texas Department of Transportation.
Officials say the $9 million project will cover nearly 6 miles of I-20 in Midland County.

The speed limit will be reduced to 60 miles per hour during the completion of the project, which is expected to take about five months, officials say. Some exit ramps might also be closed at certain times, and message boards will be in place to warn drivers of the road work ahead.

The resurfacing project will take place in four segments, TxDOT says.
