Rey, 26, was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at just 7-years-old.

His brother and school nurse contacted the Make-A-Wish Foundation about Rey when he was a teen and the non-profit agreed to grant his wish.

When Rey was 18, he and his family jetted off to Washington, D.C., where they toured the nation's Capitol.

It costs an average of $7,000 to grant a wish like Rey's wish.

If you'd like to donate, and remember all the money stays right here on the South Plains, contact Make-A-Wish at 785-9474 or visit www.facebook.com/wishlubbock.
